At 5 a.m. the one hundred & forty-
seventh Penna Volunteers (Lt. Col. Ario Pardee, Jr.)
was ordered to charge and carry the stone
wall occupied by the enemy. This they did in
handsome style, their firing causing heavy
loss to the enemy who then abandoned
the entire line of the stone wall.
